BERLIN (AP) ? A senior lawmaker in Angela Merkel's governing coalition says Germany's parliament is unlikely to approve a third financial rescue package for Greece.
Rainer Bruederle says Greece might be given "several more weeks" to make up for delays caused by two elections.
But the parliamentary leader of Merkel's Free Democrats coalition partners says Greece can't expect more money from other members of the 17-nation eurozone if it doesn't deliver on promised reforms.
The Greek government is under pressure from voters not to make further painful budget cuts demanded by its creditors.
Bruederle told RBB Inforadio on Saturday that if Greece doesn't receive further funds the country's only option is to leave the common currency.
He says such a step would have to be decided by Athens, not Berlin or Brussels.
