Lil Wayne to Publish Memoir about Prison (omg!)

Lil Wayne to Publish Memoir about Prison

Rapper Lil Wayne (born: Dwayne Carter) has signed a deal to publish a memoir based upon his most recent jail visit, which is set to be released this November.

Grand Central Publishing has agreed to base a memoir called Gone Till November upon notes that Carter wrote while he was serving an eight-month jail sentence at Rikers Island after being convicted on a weapons possession charge.

A press release revealed that Carter's prison journals will detail "his thoughts and feelings, strange people he met, his plans, his family, his children, his past, present and future."

While Carter was in jail, his friends created a website called "Weezy Thanx You" that posted some of his prison letters.

Carter's first letter was entitled "Gone 'til November," in which he professed, "For my time here, my physical will be confined to the yard. My love and my spirit, however, know no boundaries."

Lil Wayne expanded his writing breadth beyond the studio in 2008 when he wrote a blog for ESPN, for which he continues to occasionally write.

This news comes days after the self-proclaimed "best rapper alive" announced that he will launch a new skateboarding clothing line.
