Dr. Conrad Murray is on suicide watch, and for good reason.
Sources say he's been telling the people who have visited him in jail that he's lost the will to live and has talked openly about wanting to off himself.
Murray was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in the death of Michael Jackson earlier this month, and cannot process that fact. Even though his lawyers told him he needed to be prepared for a guilty verdict, it never computed with him.
He clearly believes - as espoused in the controversial Conrad Murray documentary - that he didn't do anything wrong, and was totally unprepared for this.
Murray has told various people - baby mama Nicole Alvarez, his bodyguard Jeff and his lawyers that he has lost his will to live and wants to commit suicide.
The cardiologist also remains in the medical ward at Los Angeles County Jail, which is where he's been for more than a week already, for unknown reasons.
Sources directly connected with Murray say he has no ailments and he is there simply because he's on suicide watch. Again, apparently for good reason.
Steve Whitmore, the spokesperson for the L.A. County Sheriff's Dept., would not comment on why Murray has been in the ward, citing confidentiality laws.
