Q&A: Is doing physical therapy on my hip ok to do while im pregnant ...

Question by : Is doing physical therapy on my hip ok to do while im pregnant?
I am only 6 weeks pregnant, and I have had a history of hip problems and I am currently undergoing physical therapy for a labral tear that I had surgery on a few years ago. It started firing up again so the doctor put me on a 4 week program of physical therapy. They say its ok there to do the exercises but by the time I am done I am completely exhausted, sometimes dizzy and nauseous. The other day when I finished I started feeling a little bit of cramping does anyone think I may be doing too much? I do 10 min on a bike type thing its like your climbing the stairs sitting down then I have to push 80lbs with my legs 2 reps of 20, then the stretches im ok with but its those 2 things at the beginning of my therapy that really wear me down.

does the physical therapist know your are pregnant, and it sounds like they may need to tone down the weights they are using on you, but doing PT is a good idea.
