When cattle or other animals are transported by air they are given a special escort over the runway to their aircraft. All this hurrying and waiting is in itself quite exhausting so that a highly paid banker might feel harassed, exhausted and unfit for work by the time that he is strapped in and ready to be hurled into the sky. In some cases a man may be paid well over $1500 dollars per minute of his working time, but even if he is less well remunerated the time spent in queues is entirely unproductive.
Since politicians tend to travel in large groups it is obviously very costly to those who might be paying taxes to transport them to conferences, to have them all standing in queues when they could be preparing speeches. Their time may not always be well spent but they do share with some celebrities the need for privacy and discretion.
Private jets can land at less crowded airports or terminals. This can save time and money, as accommodation and transport at both ends of a journey can be cut. Moreover the passengers on the jet can move quickly to the real purpose of their journey.
Most passengers on a charter flights will be likely to know each other and will be unlikely to come aboard with hostile intent. Security problems do not cause delays or require distracting procedures. This means that passengers can get aboard with a minimum of fuss and soon be on their way to a convenient destination.
The common sense of private jet charter is becoming so apparent to all that even employees on modest salaries might find themselves aboard. If a small group of people are required they can get on with on-flight work, saving their employers many hours hours per worker.
