What are the symptoms that terminal Cancer may have metastasized to the brain?

Posted by Yesu Ben
the most common symptoms, depending on the degree, are weakness, difficulty walking, seizures, and headaches. Other common symptoms are nausea, vomiting, blurry vision, or a change in a person?s alertness, mental capacity, memory, speech, or personality, even coma.
I dont believe in chemo. None of those I know who went to battle armed with chemo and radiation therapy survived..and their deaths werent easy. I know a few who survived after a long treatment using carrots and positive and jovial atmosphere at home and everywhere. often, the key is in the will to survive and in keeping the immune system intact.

First, with the kind of cancer you?ve described brain metastases are rather rare. They much more frequently occur in patients with breast, lung or skin cancer.

As opposed to many other (primary) brain tumors metastases can develop in any part of the brain. Therefore symptoms if the cancer has spread to the brain can vary immensely.

In general, persistent headaches (often worse in the mornings) and vomiting without nausea can be signs of brain metastases. Depending on the location of them the following symptoms may occur: seizures, palsies, vision problems, personal changes, etc.

I am not a doctor but from having several members in my extended family who had brain cancer, a PET scan can tell you for sure. Some symptons they had were with vision and speech differences Also the sense of taste and smell can be affected. But certain medicines can also give these symptoms. You would really need to consult with your oncologist. If it is you who are sick, may I say God bless you. If it is someone else let me know if you would like them to be put on a prayer list for healing. A first name is sufficient. There can be other symptoms as well. I think it best to ask your doctor.

Well . . treatment does not just depend on how advanced the disease might be it also depends on the patients age, overall health, response to treatment, and even the skills of the oncology team.

Symptoms can range from vision, balance, speech, headache . . any neurologic symptom. Despite the grimnes of the situation . . there may be treatment available . . check out gamma knife or photon beam therapies . . .

Suggest that contact one of the ACOR elist serve groups for advice from other cancer patients. You might be surprised what can be done . . but it really depends on so many factors.

The Dr?s can only treat with chemo, after six treatments, there is now a break for a few months. As the cancer starts to grow again more chemo?with no cure.
